![]() Whilst looking through DxDiag, I noticed it claimed a FaceRig Virtual Camera driver version of 1.0.0.0 despite v1. Then I couldn't get FaceRig to show at all in OBS Studio - though it worked fine in the old OBS! The DirectX thing sounded very promising so I switched to DX11 mode. The issue may persist, and then you'll have to find another solution, like having the game you'd like to broadcast in fullscreen windowed mode.Ĭould you provide dxdiag info and VP.log? Follow this thread to learn where to find the info and post it here: My suggestion is to switch to DX11 (from the Launcher) and see if the issue persists. The freeze may happen because you are running FaceRig with DX9 rendering API, which may lose rendering context when application loses focus or you are running another application in fullscreen. Do you fit the minimal requirements?Īlso here is a guide of how to set up FaceRig with OBS in case it offers new info: Hi, please keep in mind that running two games at the same time may be too heavy for your device. ![]() Graphics drivers and Windows are all fully up to date. I'm using the latest OBS Studio and the latest FaceRig virtual camera driver. Has anyone seen this before to know a quick fix? If I Alt-Tab back to the desktop (I have one monitor), it wakes up again. Everything is fine until I actually switch to that full-screen game, then FaceRig appears to freeze in my stream. I'm using OBS Studio to capture full-screen games using "Game Capture" and then with a Video Capture Device source set to the FaceRig Virtual Camera overlaying it in the corner. I'm having this issue and i came across and old thread and made a comment on it but just incase you don't find it i thought i would make a fresh thread, above is my reply to that thread but if you read from bellow the - lines you can read the old discussion the points of interest are the first comment from Cantoris on the 1 Feb 10:35pm then their last reply saying how they solved it.įacerig is running on an 8 logical core machine, 2 x quad-core CPU's it is in DX11 and running fine my issue is purely when i start streaming with it.įaceRig feed freezes in OBS Studio if fullscreen game open So my issues are the same as below in the old thread, whilst in my control panel it shows the virtual cam as V1., yet if I got to Device Manager and check its properties there it shows as V1.0.0.0, unlike the OP below mine will not update. I would use Elgato on its own but it sometimes doesnt even show the overlay at all, that and its chroma key sucks. ![]() Last weekend I had overheating issues and my temps went up to 90c, but that seems to be fixed now.I use 2 rigs to stream and game, yet as soon as I start streaming on OBS, Xsplit or Elgato my Facerig character freezes after a few mins, yet it is still moving in app on my streaming PC. I am playing in 3840x2160 resolution as well (and streaming in 1080p), but like the OP, I’ve never had this happen with (streaming or playing) any game before. I did notice that my GPU memory usage got up to 99.9% before it crashed the first time. Then I got to a dungeon with a ton of enemies, and OBS suddenly crashed and said it “encountered an encoding error”. The same thing happened, only I was actually able to stream for 5 hours this time. The first time it said, “encoding overloaded” So I went and updated my graphics drivers, limited my framerate to 140 (since my monitors are set to 140hz) in the game and in the Nvidia settings and I lowered the quality of my stream in the OBS settings.Īfter I did all of that I tried streaming again.
